Regenerating an asset

Ask any AI image generator for the same subject twice and you get two different subjects. That is the problem this solves.

A generate layer is not a flat picture. It stores the recipe that produced it: the prompt, the model, the settings and the reference images. So you can select one layer, change your mind about it, and rebuild only that layer while everything else in the composition stays exactly where you put it.

1. Select the layer on the canvas or in the layer list.
2. Adjust its prompt, swap the model, or add and remove reference images. Leave everything alone if you just want another take.
3. Choose Regenerate. The button reads Generate Image the first time and Regenerate after that.

Reference images are what hold the look steady between runs. A layer with the same references pointed at it comes back recognisably the same subject, which is exactly what you want when the rest of the scene is already finished.

Flow layers work the same way: re-run the flow and the layer picks up the new result in place.
