AI usage
Track what your local AI coding tools are spending, right next to your CPU.
If you code with AI tools all day, that spend is as much a system metric as CPU load. Operator puts it in the menu bar next to everything else — sessions, tokens, cost and streaks.
What it recognises
- Claude
- Codex
- Gemini
- Copilot
- Antigravity
- Grok
- Kimi
- A custom tool you point it at
Where the numbers come from
Two sources, both about your own account: the transcript and auth files those CLIs already keep on your Mac, and the provider’s own usage endpoint where one exists. Operator reads what is already on disk — it does not proxy your prompts or send them anywhere.
Costs are Operator’s own calculation from token counts and published prices. Treat them as a close estimate for spotting a runaway session, not as your invoice — the provider’s bill is the authority.
Configure which accounts are tracked under Settings → AI.
