Moving to another Mac
One key, one Mac at a time — and how to free the activation when you switch machines.
One key activates one Mac at a time. There is no limit on how often you move it — only on how many machines run it at once.
- On the old Mac, open Settings → Info and choose Deactivate This Mac. The activation is freed immediately.
- On the new Mac, install Operator and paste the same key.
Deactivating does not delete anything. Your settings stay on the old machine, and re-entering the key there brings it straight back — as long as no other Mac is holding the activation.

Sold, wiped or broken before you deactivated it? Email [email protected] from the address you bought with and we will free the activation for you. There is no penalty for it and no limit worth worrying about — hardware dies, that is not your fault.
